Vertigods
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
WARNING: This game might make you motion sick.
As a 2D figure, you have had slight glimpses into the 3D dimension that you were not meant to see. Your curiosity brought you here, to the Evershape. Win 10 rounds to prove to the Vertigods you are worthy of thinking outside of the box.
(The game intentionally quits after 10 rounds or when losing. Relaunch if you want to.)
General Tips
- You have to jump at the top of a launch for the boost. A special sound plays when you do this.
- You can parry the rings for a speed boost, once you unlock parrying.
Controls
- Move: A/D, Left/Right
- Jump: Spacebar
- Slam: LCtrl, LShift, S
- Parry: Left Click, R
- Fullscreen: F11
- Quit: Escape
Inspired by Grace and that one castle level from a Wii Mario game. This is also my third game jam submission and first game made with Love2D.
(Windows) Does the game look blurry?
- Right click the Vertigods executable (.exe)
- Click "Properties" (or "Show More Options" first if you can't see it)
- Switch to the "Compatibility" tab
- Click the "Change high DPI settings" button
- Enable "Override high DPI scaling behavior"
- Select "Application" on the dropdown under it
- Apply the changes, and restart Vertigods
I can't fix this on my end.
